I’m sure you can remember the huge buzz that went around when Ebay first launched and people could easily sell almost anything that wanted. It gave people the power to release a few quick funds by selling objects that they had lying around, find an obscure item that they’d always wanted, or set up an online business and start trading properly from the comfort of their home. Ebay is still going strong but now with the rise in social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, the online trading markets are stronger than ever.

One website that was quick to see the potential in allowing their users to trade items online was Facebook. Their ‘marketplace’ quickly became an active community in itself and people even started setting up shops here, in the same way as you might do on Ebay. Now it can be argued that sites such as Gumtree and Craig’s List have been providing this trading platform for over a decade, but the newer social powerhouses have taken it to another level. They encourage a more discerning buying process whereby you can do some background research on the seller, request more information, or even ask the opinion of some experts in the field. For example, before you make that commitment to buy one of those second hand bikes you can request more pics, query your friends about it, or ask those people who are hanging out in the cycling community section if you are making the right choice, and if not, what is the right one?

Further more, with the likes of Twitter to your disposal you can flip the advertising process on its head by requesting second hand items that you are seeking. For example an extreme sports enthusiast might post on their twitter profile that they are looking for 7’6” surfboards, and because of the potential size and power of the networks here, they will likely find multiple people very quickly who have suitable surfboards for sale

Create blog website was nothing new for me. You see, I have been involved in the Internet since my school days. Today, you can keep touch with friends via webpage and putting up post. Blogging, after all, is basically the new small talk. For better or for worse, I was creating my own webpage before I could write a decent sentence. Nonetheless, none of my own websites were particularly technologically sophisticated – something that would get me in trouble eventually.

When I decided on creating my own business website to make money at home online, I thought there would be nothing to it. I just knew that it would be more complicated than creating my own website had been in the past. Most of my websites have been pretty simple things – posted content with little or no interaction. Of course, people could post responses to some of my blogs and vote in online polls, but that was about it. It was straighforward, and there is no need for any programming knowledge at all. Based on this, for some reason, I figured out that I could create a business website without any problem. Well, it cannot be that difficult? It turn out that the process can be very tough! As a matter of fact, making my own website for my business was one of the stupidest things that I have ever tried to do.

It seem easy at first. I decided that I would start off with the things I knew and then learn the things I didn’t know how to do as I got to them. I knew how to design layout, how to make some good content, and how to organize menus. Then I went on to do fancy things, and then it started to fall apart.  The lesson lernt here is that you must be prepared and stick to the basic.  Getting fancy about things may turn out to be not so good an idea.

Each of us has a story to tell. Our lives is very interesting in each our own way. We could all write a book based on our own lives and experiences. No, not me! you said. But consider this first, you are unique just like everyone else. Your friends like to be with you because they enjoy having conversations with you. They find you interesting enough to be their friends.

Are you the girl who grew up with lots of pets and learned how to remedy their illnesses from your Dad or grandmother? Did you grow up in poverty and learn everything there is to know about being thrifty? Maybe your parents were travelers and you know all about cultural differences. Whether your experiences have been what you consider ordinary or what others consider exotic, you can be sure there are people everywhere who haven’t lived your life. People are curious and what seems run of the mill to you is a new and fascinating bit of life that interests a segment of the population. Writing an ebook is a simple, inexpensive way to share what you know and possibly make a difference in the world. You can also make a little money by writing an ebook!

Most people think they are not writers. You just don’t realize that you could be one. I know a woman who has this talent of knowing all about natural remedies that can cure pet ailments but she doesn’t want to write her knowledge. Isn’t it regrettable to think of wasting that wisdom?

Writing an ebook is so easy these days. There are lots of software programs which will convert a simple text file to a .pdf format. That’s all it takes to write an ebook.

Start with an outline of your subject of expertise. Cover the major topics and then fill out each area of sub-topics. Then start writing. If you’re not a polished writer, take your manuscript to an English instructor at your local community college. That prof can turn you on to English majors who can edit and polish your manuscript for a nominal amount of money, and turn out an ebook you can market.

You can market your ebook through your own website, advertise through ezines, with excerpts from your ebook, or even list with Amazon.

Writing an ebook can be personally rewarding, help others, earn some money and bring you just a bit of fame in your circle of friends.
