If you are planning to, or already do, sell electronics on eBay then you’ll be pleased to know that there’s a very effective way to improve your profits – without having to do too much work!

You might have previously noticed that there are plenty of electronic and electrical products that are sold on eBay which are refurbished. In fact, the vast majority of those ‘unbelievably cheap’ electronics items have been refurbished which is why they can be sold at a discounted price. Some auctions will explicitly advise the fact in the title, some may disclose in the description and others simply hide it amongst the text, hoping that no one will notice.

Many eBay listings refurbished merchandise are made, and it’s a good idea to tell your buyers that the wholesale good you are supplying has been refurbished. Of course, refurbished items don’t necessarily mean old or damaged, so you should be clear with your customer what previous life the item had. For example, factory refurbished products have never been in the hands of a consumer and are perfect eBay purchases refurbished items that will sell very well.

Let’s say for example, that your wholesale supplier has provided you with a lot of 10 refurbished mobile phones. It is probably best to state in your listing that the phone has been factory refurbished, although they are brand new. In fact, many buyers will specifically look to make their eBay purchases refurbished goods as they know that there are great savings to be made for items that are premium quality.

You don’t necessarily have to say in the title that the cellular phone is refurbished, but in the listing you should state that it is factory refurbished, and if it comes with a box or there are any accessories missing. In fact, you may find that people are inclined to buy the goods you are selling because you have been honest about exactly what they will be receiving.

Of course, your wholesale supplier will be able to let you know if products are not brand new factory refurbished, and even in this case your buyers should have enough knowledge about the market of the merchandise that they are buying to know when the product is an older model that they would likely be paying less for.

There are many other products that can be sold as refurbished products that people are happy to buy because they are saving money. You can get everything from cameras, televisions, computer equipment, kitchen products and much more – and you will find that because you are able to sell at a lower price and still make a good profit, people will be fighting to buy the products that you are selling.

If you are concerned that your buyers will not know what your wholesale refurbished items are, then why not take the time to explain what a refurbished item is and why it saves your buyers money. Then you can list the regular price in your description so you can show your customers how much they are saving when buying from your great wholesale sourced refurbished items!
