- Interesting content can add to a sites ’stickiness’ but only if it is formatted correctly. Lumping everything in just one paragraph or two may give the impression that the content might be too troublesome to read with little regard to how informative it might be. Do not hesitate to break it up into 3 or 4 paragraphs of different lengths or insert a picture in between to break the monotony.
- As you would probably have noticed, category links are situated on the left hand side of a page. Some lists may be very long and might be a turnoff at first glance. You can remedy this issue by simply breaking up the list into no more than 6 links per grouping.
- Try putting similar items together. A number of items on the webpage may complement each other. For instance, the next course of action after looking at the price statement is normally to hit the Buy or Add To Cart button, so wouldn’t it be a good idea to place them close together and make the move seemingly natural for the visitor.      Â
Here is an additional pointer for you. Action buttons like the ‘Add To Cart’ button should always stand out from the rest of the page components because eventually that is the action you would like them to carryout, so their eyes should be attracted to that button. In order to pull this off, use bright colors or a color in striking contrast to the color palette of your page.
